The Federal Tax Rules, (not the rules themselves, but the IRS explanation of the tax code and the regulations implementing it) now totals 74,608 pages — 34,108 more than in 1995. That’s an average of 5 new pages added every day, 365 days a year for the last 19 years, according to Mortgage News Daily’s Rob Chrisman, who made those calculations.
